Post-Blitzkreig

The other half has been doing the halter training for the last few years as I have been preoccupied with my own breeding and weaning. However his technique has been by necessity short and sharp. Halter on, lead on, dragged around the drive. Not very Marty McGee. So I am back in the saddle trying to recall in my child-rearing addled brain how I used to do it. It was based on the combined knowledge gleaned from a few workshops that I attended, a Marty McGee book and a magazine article. He is dubious that six weeks halter training is really necessary. Whether or not they turn out any better behaved, I will enjoy the time out from My Other Life...impeccably turned out weaners will just be a bonus :)
